With a short-sleeved shirt or summer shirt it was like cooking: Up to a certain age, it was never an issue – and suddenly you’re in the middle of it all, from curious to in love, and it goes at the speed of light. And I have to say: I like the journey. The short-sleeved summer shirts are also quite good with food: You can wear them casually open and therefore inhale one or the other calorie. And if need be, the colorful patterns distract from everything anyway. Back to the serious part. Of course there are short-sleeved shirts and short-sleeved shirts – if you don’t want to look like Ernie from Stromberg, there are a few things you should consider. In any case, no slipover over it. Do not put the thing into your pants. If brown shades, then please also a safari look cut. And above all: Courage to self-irony. Then you will have a lot of fun with it!
Refreshing summer shirt: Coca Cola meets bright colors
Completely unsuitable for hide-and-seek – but find that the pattern is really impressive.
The summer shirt with Coca Cola bottles pop art print was a fall in love at first sight, also still in the sale and therefore quickly moved from the shopping cart into my closet. It is colorful, loud, and clearly more extroverted than its wearer here – but therein lies the ironic camouflage that I like. And the print literally screams for summer, beach or pool.
Bottles of color and eye lining: A short-sleeved shirt like a pop art canvas. I Like.
How to combine it?
Actually a multi-talent. It can be worn openly, with white or black unicolored shirt. Or closed, then the print is even more effective. I like to combine it with a necklace. And underneath? Preferably a more discreet dark pant, but also comes relaxed with white shorts. In general, the rule here is: tune everything below a bit quieter.
White dress shirt with colorful cuffs and collar
Clean, classy but with finesse: I like the colorful details on collar and sleeves.
No joke: I bought this shirt for less than 10 Euro. The special: Thanks to the stretch material you can move relaxed in every situation. The round neck collar in jersey material makes the summer shirt look elegant without being too bourgeois. Especially the color-contrasting cuffs make sure that the shirt can also be worn solo, without a jacket. The finesse is always in the detail.
A summer shirt for all slightly more elegant dress codes.
For an upgrade simply add a necklace. Or a shirt underneath – snake print optional.
How to combine it?
Best with dark pants, both long and short, preferably olive. I like to wear the more elegant short-sleeved shirt with navy blue ankle-length pants, and for appointments or events just a dark jacket over it. Can do everything.
Short sleeve shirt with message: The Simpsons Shirt
I don’t want, I don’t want, I want … oh yes: I want to wear the Simpsons shirt very often.
Discreet goes differently, but it can also be cheeky. Here we are at the keyword: The The Simpsons shirt with lapel-like collar was too ironic not to order it right away. The print is an allusion to Bart’s blackboard entries during detention, and then everything in my favorite Black&White look: love at first fit.
Black humor and triple black look: Fits.
How to combine it?
This summer shirt is also flexible to wear. I usually use dark, grey or olive-colored pants and a jacket in muted colors over it. If you want to combine patterns, you are welcome to do so – the print should then only be much smaller than the lettering or much larger.
White summer shirt in bowling cut with letter circles
Also clean, but a bit bolder: the summer shirt variant with text rings.
Oversize, casual, fine: I usually wear the summer shirt with vintage text print openly. I especially like the detail. The label lettering results in circles of different sizes, which almost remind a little bit of soap bubbles. Relaxed for the summer.
You shouldn’t spill colorful wine on it, but otherwise the short-sleeved shirt screams straight: Summer!
Clean, but really loud: the station wagon with zebra fanny pack.
How to combine it?
Best of all of course in Black&White-Look. With the pants everything fits in muted colors. If a jacket should be over it, I also check that it is either plain or subtle, if not, the pattern should be smaller. Best to wear it open and a white or black t-shirt underneath. Simple, plain, good.
Time out summer shirt: Poison green vintage look in bowling cut
Poison green, but somehow attractive: The text print provides contrast here.
Ok the color took some courage, but in retrospect I was happy to have ordered this summer shirt. And I wore it a lot since then. I don’t have much green in my closet, but a little spice doesn’t hurt.
Everything is green: I will definitely continue with the shirt wearing.
How to combine it?
I like the dynamic print of text blocks that are formed from the name of the label. A bit vintage, a bit casual, very nice. Best with darker pants and sneakers in black, grey or earthy tones. After all, it’s loud enough on top. A jacket on top or a T-shirt underneath, preferably plain – (or for jackets with a very filigree pattern).
Hawaii shirt 2.0 with Flamingos
Was love at first sight: the exotic-look shirt with flamingo print.
Miami Nice Look for my Journey. The Flamingo-Shirt and I matched immediately. It’s colorful but not too loud, goes great with dark or white shirts underneath and just screams for summer.
The summer shirt felt accordingly comfortable on the Mallorca short trip.
While wearing, one dreams oneself fast again en route to sunny places.
How to combine them?
The summer shirt with pink flamingo goes open or closed. I like to add a chain. Especially smart is the combination with a white t-shirt, if you roll up the sleeves over the shirt. The short-sleeved shirt is also easy to wear with pants in darker, muted colors or white shorts, while the jacket comes with a leather jacket that is really smooth. In the end, the only important thing is not to take yourself and the shirts too seriously – then you’re guaranteed a summer mood.
