The beautiful sides of mallorca
Mallorca has long been haunted by the image as a destination of party people letting their behaviour at home. But especially for holiday seekers with style, the island has so many beautiful accommodations at the start, whether in the city or outside. From some so sinfully beautiful as sinfully expensive Mallorca hotels I can only dream – other locations, such as a cool finca with pool you can share surprisingly cheap. Nevertheless, in this inspiration six-pack times everything should purely: Dream hotel with infinity pool, design hotel in the middle of the city including private garden or a vacation villa for the group vacation. Maybe there is a hit accommodation for you!
City hotel with scandinavian-spanish charm:Concepcio by Nobis
Will someone please beam me there? This pool oasis in Palma on Mallorca has as much to do with Ballermann as I do with successful fractions, but as long as the vacation equation is positive, everyone is happy anyway. Even my math teacher. This charming seaside paradise, a new addition to my bucket list, is part of the Scandinavian Nobis Group, which opened the Concepció by Nobis in the Mallorcan capital this June. Located in central Palma, where the old town meets the Santa Catalina neighborhood, Concepció by Nobis is in a part of the city steeped in history. Named after the street on which it is located – Carrer de la Concepció, once a well-known olive oil marketplace – the hotel is situated on a site that dates back to the mid-16th century. The result is a building with many elements of the past in an area where lively modern bars and restaurants meet cultural landmarks such as Plaça d’Espanya, Mercat de Santa Catalina and Mercat de l’Olivar.
The outside dresscode is inviting.
Come on in. At the Concepció by Nobis, glass meets stone – and history meets modern design.
Design that dares to do something. The calculation works.
Swedish studio Wingårdhs, together with Spanish offices Jordi Herrero Arquitectos and Eduardo Garcia Acuna Arquitecto, has transformed the 16th-century building, and it now shines in a mix of brass and wood. The nineteenth-century hotel now shines in layers of brass and wood, accented by an extensive inventory of furniture, lighting and fixtures from internationally respected brands that underscore the hotel’s design credentials. In addition to armchairs by Carl Hansen in the guest rooms and light fixtures by Örsjö, the property is peppered with pieces from brands such as Artek, HAY and B&B Italia that exist comfortably alongside the building’s carefully restored arches, columns and vaulted ceilings. This seamless fusion of old and new is embodied in a series of bespoke tiles, the result of a partnership with local ceramic brand Huguet.
With only 31 guest rooms, the hustle and bustle stays outside and you’re sure to relax worry-free. Topping it all off is a rare treat in this city – a spacious outdoor area with sun terrace and outdoor pool, creating a tranquil oasis in central Palma. The hotel’s own Xalest restaurant serves a simple but authentic menu of Mallorcan-inspired classics prepared with a modern twist by local chef Xema Álvarez, as well as a bar where tapas, regional wines, and custom cocktails are also available. I’d place a bet that you’ll be seeing this location more often in your Insta Discover feed soon. Well, this would be a nice place to go from home office to work, but I’m still working on the formula.

Design-Hotel with beach view: El Llorenç Parc de la Mar
A new little spaceship has landed on Mallorca. El Llorenç Parc de la Mar is like a delicious paella of Mallorcan and Arabic elements, located in the center of Palma and thanks to the bold design has been accepted directly into the league of design hotels. Rooms and locations look a bit like an old city palace that has inhaled away a nice tray of design shots complete with a bucket of style. With 33 rooms, you also always have the assurance of being able to vacation without hustle and bustle and too much mass cuddling.
Pool? Safe. And, where is it located? Of course, on the rooftop, overlooking the bay of Palma. Just check out the pictures – you’ll want to throw your towels on loungers and go for a full-throttle swim. Breakfast is à la carte, accompanied by two buffets with local products. In the evenings, you can then snack on traditional island cuisine at DINS Santi Taura, prepared with seasonal ingredients from the region, while choosing between different tasting menus with optional corresponding wines. Admittedly: A bargain is the Mallorca hotel not, but who smart and timely flights booked, has here perhaps yet some budget left.

Design-Hotel in the city: Nakar
The best view of a city is usually from a roof terrace. How about if it now had a fancy little pool, too? To catch a free spot in the Nakar Hotel’s water-view splash pool, you’ll probably need a bit of luck, but hey, no risk no fun. On the roof of the design hotel on Avenida Jaime III, one of the city’s busiest and most central streets, you overlook Palma Bay. You’re right in the middle of it, but at the same time completely out of the hustle and bustle.
If you like it really cozy at Mallorca Hotels, check into one of the 5 Deluxe Rooms with terrace and private Jacuzzi. Sheesh. Of course, for a stay there has to be a lot of money in the team’s coffers, but then you’re often late for training or get a red card. It’s all about real #teamgoals.

Mountain beauty: Mirabó de Valldemossa
Where was I in the night from Friday to Monday? You will not ask this question in Finca Mirabó safe – here you will remember everything. And again and again with pleasure. From the pools (yes, there are several here) you don’t want to leave. Everything is long-distance-ready framed in palm trees and sweet greenery. Mirabó translates as beautiful view, and that’s what you get at this boutique hotel 500 meters above sea level amidst the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana in the west of Mallorca.16 kilometers from Palma de Mallorca, olives were grown here in the past, now you can switch off with all the comforts.
In the hotel’s grounds, with great gardens, is a large infinity pool (13 m x 6 m) with a sun terrace overlooking Valldemossa and the mountains. The second, smaller pool (5 m x 5 m) with a separate terrace used to be a pond and serves as a second place to retreat. Good to know: The hotel is especially geared toward couples. However, children are still welcome, but there is a maximum of one family with children at a time, in order to preserve the peace and tranquility of the place.
Mirabó de Valldemossa, Price: three nights for two people from about 850 euros complete (breakfast is included, dinner can be booked for 38 euros per person / day), more via mirabo.es/de
Garden vibes: 1902 The Townhouse
If you like the tranquility of the mountains, but like to have the sea within easy reach and prefer charm to cold concrete when it comes to accommodation, you should give the 1902 Townhouse a flirty look. The townhouse hotel is located in Sóller in the Tramuntana Mountains, about a 30-minute drive from Palma de Mallorca. Why charm? Because the historic features, such as original ornate tile floors, high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, or vaulted ceilings and wooden floors, have been preserved. Take that, concrete castle.
There’s also plenty of green to dance in at 1902 Townhouse. Around the property you will find a Mediterranean garden. From there you can get to the pool area of the small Mallorca hotel with an 8-meter large pool.

Villa deluxe: Finca ”Es Garrigó de Son Mora”
Today the 18 goes to … Porreres. Exceptionally. There is the finca “Es Garrigó de Son Mora”. In this vacation home you feel like the king of Mallorca. Only with more style. And more pleasant for the ears. And eyes. And nerves. Whew. Breathe deeply. How I’d love to beam myself to the pool right now, bottle of white wine and best friend at the start, switch-off deluxe.
The building is idyllically located outside the town, the nearest sandy beach like Platja de Sa Rapita is only 22.3 km away. You have to cook here yourself, but with the ambience I like to stand at the stove of the outdoor kitchen. Yes. Kitchen, outside. Everything for daily needs can be found in Porreres, 3.9 km away – from a supermarket to a pharmacy to an ATM. If you like, you can still book the shopping service or private chef. But: come on!
Outside, you can casually switch into pamper mode by the pool or explore the garden. Among other things, the small pond including a fountain and countless plants and fruit trees are waiting there. Even a horse resides there (but it’s neither red nor does it like to turn around) as well as a few chickens. And if you split the cost, there’s budget left over for when the rooster has to run. (So not the one in the enclosure).

Villa oasis: Finca ”Ses Eretes”
Near Artà, in the east of the island you will find the finca “Ses Eretes”. Their motto: 50 shades of green. In the midst of a large garden, couples can make it really romantic here – or just switch to gray and evil. Cordula is sure to like it. Back to seriousness: If you want to enjoy time with friends in peace and quiet, and also get along well outside the city, you are in good hands in the finca. The town of Artà is only 4.7 km away, there are also numerous shopping facilities for daily needs. In about 18 minutes by car you can reach beautiful sandy beaches like Sa Marjal or bays like the Platja de Cala Agulla, which is about 17 km away.
50 Shades of green
The highlight of the finca “Ses Eretes” is the garden with old, gnarled almond and olive trees, and small wishing wells. Under the scent of lavender, you can take a leisurely dip in the saltwater pool. Afterwards, food is served on the covered terrace, which is easy to grab at Artà’s weekly market. The rooms are brightly decorated, the two patios with full glazing let Mediterranean light into the house. One of them even has an extra fireplace. Nice. And the budget? Here, with full occupancy of 4, you pay from around 67 euros per person per night. Sounds fair.
How it works? Fincallorca mediates over 1,300 fincas and vacation homes on Mallorca. On the details page of the finca you can either make a binding booking or a non-binding request. If you make a binding booking, Fincallorca immediately forwards the booking request to the respective house owner and sends the final booking documents by e-mail after his final confirmation. In the case of a non-binding request, an offer is sent by e-mail and you then have the option to book this offer bindingly. (Of course, this also applies to the above “Es Garrigó de Son Mora”).
Finca ”Ses Eretes”, Price: Overnight stay from 265 euros for all, more at www.fincallorca.de/finca_ses_eretes
Calm & cozy: Finca Casa Milla
Mallorca, summer, sun, a house to yourself, pool – and hardly any connection to the Internet. Perfect! I’d be lying if I’d known beforehand. But I have to admit: It really did me good. Why the offline stay in the vacation home “Casa Milla” is recommended and what you should know, I’ve written here in my post about the stay.
Luxushotel: Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden
For a vacation in the Can Bordoy House & Garden you should already be a professional footballer or a brutal thrifty person, who works hard to achieve special experiences. Or just have a budget at the start, you know. The luxury hotel is brutally beautiful, actually everywhere around the pool and the huge garden you could photograph fashion lines at every corner. One of those Mallorca hotels where the Ballermann is as far away as the Bachelor from real love, and for that you pay just a few roses more.
Breakfast around the clock
The 16th-century location used to be an old town palace, but now you’ll find an exclusive boutique hotel with 24 suites, each one unique. The sizes vary from 30 to 80 square meters, all in the middle of the old town of Palma de Mallorca. There’s no Cordula waiting in the highlight of this Mallorca hotel, but plenty of greenery – the property is nestled in the city’s largest private park. There is nevertheless a small joy dance in it. For example, from the roof terrace, of course, including a view of the sea. And then this thoughtfully designed pool – real chart-topper.
But one of the absolute highlights is the breakfast. Of course, that is included in the overnight stay, I expect in Mallorca hotels of this class, you can say. The highlight of Can Bordoy: You can always have breakfast. And everywhere. Around the clock. Right. If you feel like breakfast before going out to party, just ring the bell and let us serve it. In your room, by the pool, in the garden. Fancy chia, almond yogurt, seasonal fruit, a variety of honey, grilled vegetables, arugula, mushrooms and even sauerkraut? Or scrambled eggs with tofu, the fried eggs with sobrasada (typical Mallorcan sausage) and cheese from Mahon? A plate comes with bagels, marinated fish, dill crème fraîche, Italian mortadella and herb butter. Makes you hungry for wanderlust, doesn’t it?
Hotel Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden, Overnight stay incl. breakfast (depending on season) from around 325 euros, bookable for example via preferredhotels.com/property/can-bordoy
